HOW CENTERED YOGA & FITNESS GOT STARTED
Founder, Carly Sawyer, fell in love with fitness at a young age and explored wellness through different outlets of dance, gymnastics, weightlifting, CrossFit, yoga, and running. In 2015, she opened a yoga studio with a drive to empower people to step into their strength. In 2019, she took over ownership at a CrossFit gym with a mind set to improve the way people move.
Through this time, Carly discovered a common theme about all of the women around her. We are more alike than different! She found that there are so many women out there just like her. Women searching for the perfect bodies, craving life balance, failing to prioritize their selves, struggling to admit the hardships of motherhood (and womanhood for that matter), always agreeing for the greater good, and ultimately coming up short. It’s time for women to step into the power of our beauty.
Carly created Centered Yoga & Fitness to give you a place to bond with like-minded women, shake off your uncertainties, and become you again.

If your mind isn’t right nothing is right. Centered Yoga and Fitness is 80% mind, 20% body, and 100% soul. Your body is a temple in which you get to experience life. Fitness is just a part of your journey and we must learn to feed our mind and body properly to see the results we want. Our end game vision is to teach women how to sustainably enjoy life to its fullest through yoga, fitness, and nutrition.
WHO IS CENTERED YOGA & FITNESS FOR?
It’s for woman! Why? Because we don’t need to wait for Friday night to receive the benefit of a night out with the girls. It’s for women looking to improve your mind, body, career, find your tribe and passions, and make healthier choices that will last a lifetime. Centered Yoga & Fitness is for women looking to be or are a leader in their community and to be or become a mentor to those nearest. It’s for singles, married, divorced, dating, not looking, married moms, single moms. Women that hike, bike, skate, swim, climb, compete, work, stay at home, serve, fight, and love.
WHO IS CENTERED YOGA & FITNESS NOT FOR?
Men. Why? Because they are not women. Trust me guys, you’ll love that your girlfriend, wife, or mom has a place to do something amazing for themselves. Men are amazing too, this is just a girl’s only club.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
All you really need to bring is your yoga mat and water. If you forget yours or are still in the market for one, we will provide a mat for you. We recommend going barefoot for all of the yoga style classes. Your grip is better that way! Please take your shoes off at the door and store them in a cubby. Shopping for a yoga mat? We recommend checking out Lululemon, Manduka, and PrAna.

WHAT DO I WEAR?
Anything that you can move freely and comfortable in. We recommend leggings or booty shorts paired with a sports bra and a tank top. Flowy tank tops and t-shirts are nice, just be ready for your t-shirt or tank to suffocate you in down dog. Let’s be honest ladies, Lululemon clothes just feels the best. Treat yourself when you can and be reasonable by shopping at Target or TJ Max. No shoes please, except for Bootcamp! Then in that case, wear shoes you can run in. We like cross-train shoes. If you like gear, get those Nike Metcons or shop for Nobulls!
